Hi! I’m Alana, a sports photographer from Germantown, Tennessee, currently based in Oxford while I attend Ole Miss.
I first got into photography just by taking creative pictures on my phone for fun. Pretty quickly, I realized I loved it and wanted to take it more seriously, so I bought my first camera and started building my portfolio through sports and live events.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work within Division I athletics and campus media at Ole Miss.
In 2022, I joined Ole Miss Football as a Photography Intern, where I learned how to shoot in fast paced game environments and create content that works for a major collegiate program.
In 2023, I continued working with Ole Miss Athletics as part of the Athletics Photography team, where I expanded my coverage across multiple sports including football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and more.
Right now, I serve as
Sports Editor for the Ole Miss Yearbook
Photographer for The Daily Mississippian
Director of Photography for the Associated Student Body
Through these roles, I help cover major events, work with media teams, and create visual content used for storytelling, promotion, and archival purposes.
My experience in sports media started before college. In high school, I served as both the Social Media Coordinator for my basketball team and the Sports Information Director. Through those roles, I gained experience in sports photography, graphic design, website management, game statistics, and social media management across multiple platforms.
Now, I focus on capturing the energy and emotion behind sports while helping tell the stories that come with them.
